What We’re Looking For

We focus on recipes and tips designed for real people with real lives. Our readers value time, flavor, and wellness, and they look to this blog for recipes that feel achievable after a long day or during a busy week.

We accept submissions in the following categories:

1. Original Recipes

Share simple, tested recipes that busy people can easily make. Think one-pot meals, 30-minute dinners, healthy snacks, and weeknight favorites that don’t take a ton of time or effort.

2. Meal Prep and Planning Tips

Our readers love to stay organized in the kitchen. If you’ve got advice on how to prep for the week, shop smart, or make meal planning easier, let’s hear it.

3. Cooking Hacks and Time-Savers

Do you know how to save time with smart ingredient swaps? Use leftovers in fun, creative ways? Offer kitchen shortcuts? These tips are always appreciated!

4. Family-Friendly and Budget-Friendly Recipes

We love meals that stretch a dollar but still taste delicious. Recipes should use everyday ingredients and appeal to eaters of all ages—even picky ones!

5. Dietary-Specific Dishes

We welcome recipes for gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, and other dietary lifestyles. If you’ve got something special to offer for a specific group, we’d love to include it.

Submission Guidelines

To help us maintain our style and quality, we kindly ask contributors to follow these simple guidelines:

Original Content Only
All content must be original. That means it hasn’t been published before on your own blog or anywhere else. Once published on Quick Simple Dishes, it should remain exclusive to us.

Friendly and Simple Writing
We like a warm, conversational tone that is easy to follow. Submissions should be free of spelling and grammar issues. Keep it clear and helpful—just like you’re talking to a home cook who needs a little guidance.

Recipe Formatting
If your post includes a recipe, be sure to include clear ingredients, step-by-step directions, prep and cook times, serving size, and any dietary categories it fits (such as gluten-free or dairy-free).

Photos Are a Plus
High-quality photos of your finished dish add huge value. Bright, clean, and well-lit images are best. If you don’t have photos, we may be able to help with licensed stock images, depending on the topic.

Length and Style
Submissions should be between 1,200 and 1,500 words, depending on the topic. Recipes can be a little shorter or longer depending on detail, but the post should be easy to scan with headings or bullet points when needed.

Author Bio and Links
At the end of your article, include a short author bio (2–3 sentences) and 1–2 relevant links to your blog or social media accounts. This is your space to promote yourself thoughtfully.
